PREVIEW:
Crystal Palace vs Ipswich
James,
16/1/09
Town will be aiming to continue their improvements on the road tomorrow when they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Last season, Town were looking to get their second away win of the season at this fixture. This season they will be aiming for away victory number five, but will have to do so without a number of key players.
Richard Naylor is out on loan to Leeds United and Ivan Campo is out with a torn muscle attained in the game against Sheffield Wednesday. David Wright is out with a hamstring injury and Mortiz Voltz is doubtful due to a groin injury. However, Veliche Shumulikoski is back following suspension while Dean Bowditch and Daniel Harding have returned from their loan spells.
Jim Magilton: "We have been better away from home this season and our performances are improving all the time, we are going out and getting results now and the players are gaining in confidence. We need to maintain that and take it forward.
"I watched Palace play against Leicester in midweek and we know they are a good side. They have a great work ethic and if we don't match that, we will be struggling.
"They are strong at set-pieces and have pace down the flanks in Scannell and Moses, if he is fit. Paul Ifil has always been a good player and we know all about the threat they have up front with Alan Lee and Shefki Kuqi.
"Shaun Derry is a key player for them in midfield as well so we are going to have to be strong at the back, close them down and be brave on the ball as well."
Neil Warnock's Palace are able to welcome back defender Jose Fonte after he served a suspension, John Oster is fit again after a calf injury but Victor Moses has an ankle injury and so it out.
